School Basic Supplies + 1-time Supply Fee

Winterhaven wants all students in each class to have the same number and type of supplies, and to that end, we ask every family for a voluntary $30 school materials donation per child to pay for these supplies at the beginning of the school year.

This one-time fee covers the cost of pencils, glue, markers, paper and all other supplies we provide in the classrooms. Families can pay this materials donation by check during Winterhaven Registration Night or in the office during the first few weeks of school. Checks should be made out to Winterhaven School.

NOTE: New this year! – You can also pay the $30 donation through School Pay by using this link: https://www.schoolpay.com/pay/for/School-Supplies-Donation---suggested/IdCtL

The School Supplies donation replaces the traditional school supply list typically provided by other schools, and ensures that each student has access to the same materials and that students and teachers have common resources throughout the year in their classrooms.

As we ask for this voluntary donation to help cover supplies, we do not have a school supply list for families

However, the items listed below are suggested:

  • Kindergarten1st2nd, and 3rd grade:  A backpack – all other supplies are provided by Winterhaven
  • 4th5th6th7th, and 8th grade: A binder of your choice (accordion style, 3-ring, trapper keeper, etc.) with basic supplies to start the year (paper, pens and pencils of your choice).  All of these supplies are also provided by Winterhaven (paper, compasses, scissors, protractors, pencils, glue) throughout the year; however, we realize that students in grades 4-8 enjoy bringing their own, personalized materials.
