NeoGeography Club - 2016-17

posted Oct 6, 2016, 6:36 PM by Rebekah Folsom

Now in its 11th year at Winterhaven, NeoGeo is back with more online adventures for students.

Covering topics in Geography, Earth Science, Astronomy, and Meteorology, this after-school club uses online resources to observe the world and learn about the forces that shape it. We'll sight-see using Google StreetView as we stroll down Portland streets. We'll take to the air with online flight simulators and get a bird's eye view of the landscape. We'll follow along with the International Space Station as it cruises over the planet at night, and we'll stay abreast of NASA's missions to the far reaches of the solar system.

Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month from 3-4pm in the computer lab. There is no charge to participate.

To sign up, contact club leader Rex Fisher, Sign up with a friend or come make new ones.

Hope to see you there!
