Upcoming Events:

  • PTSA Community Meeting 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Informational meetings for the lottery process are coming up soon for prospective students for the 2017-18 school year.  The remaining meeting is March 1 @ 5:30 pm.  If you have siblings you plan to enroll for next year, you do not need to come to the informational meetings.  However, you do need to complete a Statement of Understanding (these will be available in the office starting on Feb. 8) and you need to complete the Enrollment and Transfer Lottery Application (this will be available online on Feb. 8).  To receive sibling preference, you need to have a child currently attending Winterhaven this year who will be also attending next year.  If you have questions, please check with the main office.

Winterhaven Yearbooks – Order yearbooks now for the price of $15.00 until March 23, after which the price will go up to $17.00.  Please pay by check in the office, with the check made out to Winterhaven, or payment can be made online at

Parents Needed for March Interest Classes - March 3, 10, 17 and 24. Middle School Interest Classes are from 8:30-10:10 am. We have SO MANY fun ideas if you could spare your time to make them a reality. For example, Ms. Dixon needs a spray-hose tunnel built for MAC attack - wouldn't that be the most fun project to creatively build with a group of kids?!?!? We also have some ready-to-go curricula, including a Social Justice course, the ever-popular Hunger Games, a closet of art projects, musical instruments, scripts for Mock Trial, and the kids ALWAYS clamor for more FOOD / COOKING classes, or PLEASE bring your own ideas. Contact Rebekah ( for Middle School. There will be no Elementary Interest Classes this session.

Kids Like Languages - Sign up now for after school Mandarin or French language classes. The classes will be on Mondays, and will run from 4/3 to 6/5 from 3:05-3:55pm. Students will learn Mandarin or French through fun and engaging activities.

Children learn best when they actively participate in the classroom. Our lessons are filled with art, music, games, gestures and everyday situations to promote fluency and cultural awareness.Your child will have the opportunity to use their language skills to prepare them for future interactions in the real world.  To register, please follow this link:

If you have any questions, please contact Kids Like Languages directly at 503-658-1980

The Cleveland Cluster Track & Field Program - Registration Packets will be available to students in the office starting Monday February 13th the first day of registration. The season runs from March 13-May 13.
